One of the Bukati-Project Goals is: Feed the AIDS orphans and destitute children: Provide lunch for kindergarten children 5 days a week and for all other children at least 2 days a week. Children who are fed are able to learn. The lunch program will run 3, 4 or 5 days per week as more money is raised. Update: The new community decision is that the the children in kindergarten, grades 1 and 2 will be fed 5 days a week beginning in September 2008. This will be possible because of the 5 acres of maize being grown by the school.

Above: They cooked 5 pots of meal, and had half a pot left over initially. After everyone has had their first bowl, kindergarten and grade 8 students are allowed to go back for "seconds" until every last kernel of corn is gone, which always happens.
